Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons - zespół Phila Campbella z nieistniejącego już Motorhead - zapowiedział premierę swojego trzeciego longplaya studyjnego, zatytułowanego "Kings of the Asylum". Ukaże się on 1 września 2023 roku, pod egidą Nuclear Blast. Płytę promuje singiel "Schizophrenia".

Na "Kings of the Asylum" znajdzie się jedenaście kompozycji. Wersja limitowana zawierać będzie dodatkowy numer w postaci "Monster". Okładkę przygotował Dan Goldsworthy.

"Kings of the Asylum" to pierwsze dokonanie kapeli z Joelem Petersem na wokalu.

Dyskografię Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons zamyka album "We're the Bastards". Premiera płyty miała miejsce 13 listopada 2020 roku, pod banderą Nuclear Blast. W czerwcu 2021 roku muzycy poinformowali, że rozstali się z wokalistą Neilem Starrem, a jego miejsce zajął Joel Peters.

Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons powstał w 2013 roku. W skład grupy, oprócz Phila Campbella, weszli trzej jego synowie: Todd, Dane i Tyler, a także wokalista Neil Starr. Początkowo zespół grał przede wszystkim covery Motorhead oraz ulubione klasyki Phila Campbella, w tym utwory z repertuaru Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Teda Nugenta i Davida Bowie.
