Udostępniono do odsłuchania archiwalny utwór Neila Younga, zatytułowany "Daughters". Kompozycja ukazała się na 10-płytowym zbiorze nagrań muzyka, pochodzących z lat 1972-1976. "Neil Young Archives Vol. II" miał premierę w ograniczonym nakładzie oraz w wersji cyfrowej 20 listopada 2020 roku. Na 5 marca 2021 roku zapowiedziano kolejne wydania.

Pochodzący z Kanady Neil Young rozpoczął karierę muzyczną w 1963 roku. Grał i śpiewał m.in. w zespole Buffalo Springfield, w supergrupie Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young oraz z formacją towarzyszącą Crazy Horse. W 2009 roku ukazał się zbiór archiwalnych nagrań muzyka z lat 1963-1972.

"Neil Young Archives Vol. II" zawiera nagrania z lat 1972-1976, w tym zarejestrowane z formacjami Crazy Horse, The Stray Gators, Santa Monica Flyers oraz Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. Znalazło się na nim 131 utworów, w tym 12 piosenek dotychczas niepublikowanych i 49 wydanych wcześniej w innych wersjach.

Zbiór miał premierę 20 listopada 2020 roku. Na nośnikach fizycznych do sprzedaży trafiły wówczas trzy tysiące kopii. Na 5 marca 2021 roku zaplanowano wydanie większego nakładu.

Oprócz płyt, w zestawie znajdzie się m.in. plakat oraz - tylko w wersji "deluxe", dostępnej w sklepie internetowym muzyka - 250-stronicowa książka ze zdjęciami.

W planach jest przygotowanie zbiorów archiwalnych nagrań Neila Younga z kolejnych lat. Ponadto 26 lutego 2021 roku ma się ukazać koncertowy album "Way Down in the Rust Bucket" formacji Neil Young & Crazy Horse.
