27 października 2008 roku na rynek trafi specjalne, kolekcjonerskie wydanie płyty "The Blackening" zespołu Machine Head. Standardowy album zostanie rozszerzony o płytę CD zawierającą niepublikowany materiał z lat 1994 - 2008, zawierający m.in. covery grup: Nirvana, Black Sabbath czy Iron Maiden, a także materiał DVD, na który trafią teledyski, fragmenty koncertów oraz filmy z planów produkcyjnych klipów.
